On the nineteenth day of Advent, Santa brings you a unique Paracord Christmas Tree Craft!

This Paracord Christmas Tree Craft is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. This craft lets your kids make a Christmas tree-shaped ornament using a paracord, and they can weave and shape the paracord into a beautiful tree and add beads for an extra touch of festive charm.

Deck the halls with your very own handcrafted Christmas tree ornament you can hang on your tree!

These are the same ones you used for the Camo Paracord Bracelet on Day 6! Here’s how to make it:

Step 1: Fold the paracord in half and point the looped end towards you, ready to start weaving.

Step 2: Measure 10 cm away from the top of the loop - this will be the bottom of the tree.

Step 3: Make the tree trunk by using approx. 6 x cobra stitches (alternating left and right) and pulling them tightly each time to make the narrow trunk.

Step 4: Make the rest of the tree by continuing with cobra stitches - but leaving the loop wide on either side to form the branches of the tree. Leave bigger loops for the branches at the bottom of the tree and smaller loops for the branches at the top. You will need to use one tight cobra stitch between each branch to make it secure and neat.

Step 5: Finish by cutting the ends of the paracord with scissors and sealing them into the back of the tree decoration - get an adult to help here.

Here’s another puzzling magic trick for you!

The Ball and Vase Magic Trick is super simple to learn, and once you’ve gotten the hang of it, it’s one of the most jaw-dropping tricks!

Get ready for some magical fun in your holiday season with this nifty trick! Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Open the vase to reveal a colored ball in the cup of the base.

Step 2: Pull the ball out, put it in your pocket, and tell your audience you will make the ball reappear in the vase.

Step 3: Replace the top of the vase and wave your hand over it.
 
Tip: Uttering a magical incantation while waving your hand will add to the illusion.
 
Step 4: Here’s the magic! Lift the trick top, showing a secret compartment and revealing a second, "gimmick" ball, glued inside.

Step 5: Time to make it disappear again! Make the ball disappear by replacing the trick top, waving your hand over it, and reopening the vase while holding the false bottom in place.

Step 6: Abracadabra! The ball magically "reappears" in your pocket. Take it out of your pocket to reveal the real ball that was there all along.

Get ready to show off another magic trick!

The Chain and Ring Magic Trick is a classic illusion that has fascinated people for years.

It’s a super simple trick to perform, but it can be mind-blowing when done correctly.

It’s one of the few tricks that even if you explain what’s happening, it still looks amazing. How it works:

Step 1: Start by holding the chain hanging off your non-dominant hand.

Step 2: With the ring in your dominant hand, bring it onto the loop of the chain that’s hanging down (from underneath, so that the chain is entirely within the ring.

Step 3: You will "drop" the ring, and it’ll loop itself onto the chain. Here’s the magic bit: If you do just drop the ring, it will fall to the floor. You have to flick the ring just enough that it flips 180 degrees and catches on the loop of the chain in a half-hitch knot.

1. Roll out the clay into a flat shape (you can use a plastic cup or water bottle as a rolling pin).

Color in the designs, bake them, and watch them shrink before your eyes!

These Shrink Crafts will become adorable keychains your kids can use on their bags and backpacks! They’re a delightful and simple way to nurture your child’s creativity.

Spend quality time with your kids and inspire a lifelong love for art and DIY projects!

Shrink Art Craft baking instructions:
 
a. Parents, preheat a toaster oven (recommended) or conventional oven to 325 F (165° C).

b. Use baking parchment paper or tin foil to line a baking pan. For best results, make sure it’s a nice flat, even baking pan.

TIP: Make sure to poke a hole before you shrink them in the oven.

c. Place your film pieces with the colored side up on the lined tray.
 
d. Parents, bake in preheated oven for 30 to 60 seconds, or until the pieces stop shrinking (they will curl up at first, then lay flat again. Once they flatten out, they are done). Have your child watch through the oven door as they curl and shrink!

e. If the pieces don’t flatten out on their own, but have stopped shrinking, you can take them out of the oven using oven mitts, and they can be lightly pressed down using a folded paper for about 20 seconds as they cool.

TIP: You only have a few seconds to press them before they start to cool. You can always warm them up again if needed.

f. Once completely cooled, your kids can use your shrunk creation with one of the included accessories.

g. Use the hole to secure your creation to the chain or clip loop.

On the fourth day of Advent, Santa brings you an exciting Dice Guessing Magic Trick!

Prepare to amaze your friends and family when you master the art of mind-reading with this incredible trick!

Challenge someone to pick a number on the dice, and, with a wave of a hand, you’ll effortlessly guess their chosen number correctly – leaving everyone in awe of your magical abilities!

Enjoy spreading the joy of magic this December! How it works:

Step 1: Get your audience to choose a number on the dice and place it face up inside the small container. Have the container on a table, and get them to put it inside, and cover it with the small lid (without you seeing it and without the container lifting from the table)

Step 2: Once the lid is on, you’ll grab it and ask the audience member if there’s any chance you’ve seen the chosen number, to which they’ll answer no. 

Step 3: You’ll need to make up a story whereby you can hold the small container (by the top and bottom edges) and tip the container forward (so the dice slices up against the lid). Here’s the trick: if the dice is right up against the lid, you’ll be able to see it! 

Step 4: Place the small container inside the big one and close the lid, and shake it about, tell a story, magical words, and guess the correct number (since you’ve already seen it!)
 
Step 5: Take the small container out of the big one, open its lid, and show the audience the correct number inside the container!

On the second day of Advent, Santa brings you the astonishing Strings and Clasps Magic Trick!

Amaze your friends and family with your magical powers! This trick is easy to learn and will impress everyone who sees it!

It’s the perfect way to add magic to your holiday season. How it works:

Step 1: Insert the string through the clasp device. Make a big show that the string is intact as it goes in.

Step 2: Time to “cut” it. Say Abracadabra! and slide the clasp to the side, revealing the now “cut” piece of string offset from the original. It will look strange to your audience as the middle of the string appears cut!

Step 3: Wave your hand, say some magical words and slide the middle piece back to “mend” the string back to one piece. Alternatively, you can face the windows on the clasp away from your audience and pull out the “cut” string without “mending” it first.

Step 4: Pull the string back out of the clasp mechanism and wow your audience with the string back in one piece!
