April 10 is National Siblings Day – so much more than a day to post throwback pictures of yourself and your siblings on social media (although those are always fun to see)!
Today is a day to hug your own siblings, drop them a line and tell them how much you love them. As for your kids, a great way to celebrate would be to have a talk about their special relationship and enjoy going back to look at old photos and videos of them together over the years.
Did you know that National Siblings Day was founded by Claudia Evert? Sadly, she lost her own two siblings. She picked April 10 as the date to honor her late sister, Lisette. Now, the day recognizes brothers and sisters, and like Mother’s and Father’s Day, is a celebratory day to note those who have helped us become who we are.
In the spirit of celebrating others, this week we’re sharing a printable that you’re going to want to save and use often!! It’s a birthday card that you or your kids can personalize by coloring it in. How great is it to give to your kids to color and then you have a one-of-a-kind card for family and friends?
