FREE Printable: Sunglasses cut-out & Maze "Fun in the Sun for 😎National Sunglasses Day😎!"

It’s SUMMERTIME! The season of swimming, sunscreen, and sleeping in (okay, maybe not that last one with kids) is OFFICIALLY here!

Did you know that June 27th is 🕶️ National Sunglasses Day 🕶️?!? It’s an annual holiday started by The Vision Council celebrating cool shades and the importance of UV eye protection.

It’s also the perfect reason to grab your favorite pair of 😎 SUNGLASSES 😎 and head OUTSIDE with your family! The lake, pool, and beach are calling!

While sunglasses are an important part of your outdoor attire year-round (because those UV rays shine through on even the cloudy winter days!), they somehow seem extra COOL in the summertime. Nothing makes you feel more like a movie star than wearing a giant pair of sunglasses with the sun on your face and the wind blowing in your hair!

Do your kids have a favorite pair of ️sunglasses🕶️? Ours love those crazy, big ones with the brightly-colored frames in fun shapes like stars⭐ and hearts❤️.

There are lots of ways to celebrate this important eye health day outdoors in the sunshine (with your sunglasses, of course). You could...

😎 Head to the neighborhood or community pool for a swim.
😎 Pack a picnic and go to the park for the afternoon.
😎 Spend the day on the lake – swimming, fishing, boating around.
😎 Break out the sprinklers or kiddie pool and make your very own splash pad in the backyard.
😎 Invite family and friends over for an outdoor cookout.
😎 Load up the mini-van and go to the beach for the day (or the week, if you’re lucky).
😎 Celebrate the day with our FREE PRINTABLE dress-up sunnies: print them, cut them out and use for pretend play, decorate with stickers, use for crafts. We’re also celebrating with a printable sunglasses-themed maze! Get it here!

Wherever the summer sun takes you, remember to bring those cool shades for you and your kiddos. Also, throw an extra pair or two in the car in case one gets lost, stepped on, or you just find yourself in the mood for a wardrobe change! After all, protecting your eyes and your vision is ALWAYS in fashion!
