Are you lucky enough to have good friends in your life? You know, the ones that you can call up on your worst days or the first ones you share happy news with. Good friends are to be ⭐TREASURED⭐!!  

So, why not have a day to celebrate them? 🎉🎉🎉 

Friendship Day was started in 1919 by Hallmark, but faded in the 1940s. Then, in 1998, Winnie the Pooh was named the world’s Ambassador of Friendship by the United Nations (seriously!) and in 2011, the U.N. began recognizing International Friendship Day. 

It’s easy to celebrate one friend at a time on their birthdays, but why not celebrate all of your friends with one BIG celebration of FUN? Here are a few of our suggestions for a FRIENDS DAY EXTRAVAGANZA (even Pooh bear would approve!): 

🎉 Pick a place. This doesn’t have to be anything fancy – your favorite restaurant, the park, the neighborhood clubhouse, your backyard, the living room, etc. Anywhere you feel comfortable and has room for the people you love most! 
🎉 Create a fun invitation or evite filled with your favorite inside jokes, old pictures, or whatever you can think of to make it unique to your friendships. 
🎉 Come up with a menu of easy, crowd-pleasing munchies and drinks. Or, better yet, make it a pot luck and have everyone bring their signature dish to share! 
🎉 Plan some activities – games, music, movies, karaoke, a crazy talent show – whatever your crew likes to do and will keep everyone laughing! Laughing with your friends is the best medicine for SO many of life’s problems. 
🎉 Create something remember the day – take silly photos, make friendship bracelets (corny, but FUN!), exchange recipes from those delish dishes!  

Remember, the focus is on celebrating each other – not stressing over what you do! If hosting a party is too overwhelming, meet up for coffee, go to a movie, or plan a group hang out online. Your friends have got your back and are just happy to hang out with YOU! 💗
