FREE Printables: Activity Sheets "❄️🌷 Happy Groundhog Day! ❄️🌷 "

Are you loving these cold, snowy days of winter or are you READY for an early spring?!?

On Sunday, February 2nd, we’ll find out what the groundhog predicts

Does anyone else remember Groundhog Day is a HUGE deal in elementary school and preschool??

As an adult, it might not mean as much to you, but for kids, it can be SO FUN!!

And, since Groundhog Day falls on a weekend this year, here are some great ways to celebrate with your kiddos...

🙂 Create some adorable groundhog crafts or special groundhog themed snacks! Check our Pinterest board for inspiration!
Or grab this week’s FREE printables for FUN, EASY options!
🙂 Turn off the lights, grab a flashlight, and make your own groundhog (or other) shadow puppets on the walls!
🙂 Go to the library or jump online and do some research on weather or seasons. This is the perfect chance to learn something new!
🙂 Make your own predictions about whether or not the groundhog will see his shadow. Maybe even take a family vote!
🙂 Watch live on TV or on the computer, as the groundhog emerges from his hole and join in the excitement of the “big moment!”

Whether or not you believe that the groundhog seeing his shadow has ANYTHING to do with the weather over the next six weeks, it’s SO FUN to see the excitement of the day through your kids’ eyes and to take the chance to learn, celebrate, and laugh with them!

Happy Groundhog Day!!
