A lot of things may be different in 2020, but beautiful fall colors and cooler weather have us feeling grateful for this season and the chance to get outside together to enjoy it!
The fall is our favorite season and we adore all of the safe ways we can still enjoy the great outdoors as a family during this time of the year.
Here are some ideas of how to get outside:
🍂 Raking fallen leaves and jumping in the piles. If you haven’t watched Stella the dog jumping in leaf piles check it out to put a big smile on your face! 🍁
🍂 Apple picking at a local orchard (complete with all of the apple themed treats we plan to bake when we get home!) 🍎 🥧
🍂 Hiking or biking the trails together - Check out the AllTrails app to find the best locations near you. ⛰️
🍂 Visiting the pumpkin patch to find the perfect one to turn into a jack-o-lantern on Halloween 🎃
🍂 Getting lost (and found!) together in a corn maze 🌽
🍂 Going on a leaf hunt in the woods and creating leaf art – You can press the leaves in books or put the leaf under paper and color over it to make an impression. 🖍️ (For more ideas, check out our Fall Crafts Pinterest Board!)
🍂 Picnics at the park (or backyard) surrounded by the gorgeous fall colors ☀️
🍂 Roasting s’mores and telling stories by a campfire 🔥
