Wax Craft Sticks

Before You Begin

• Set up your work area first. Lay down paper towels to catch any small pieces or scraps.
• Lay out everything in the kit so it's all within reach before you begin.
• Choose a clean, flat surface to work on.
• Decide whether you want to make a flat 2D design or a 3D creation.
• The wax craft sticks do not dry out, so you can reshape, reuse, and create with them again and again. 

Step 1: Choose Your Wax Craft Sticks

• Pick the colors you want to use.
• Choose one or more sticks depending on the design you want to make.
• Mix different colors to make your creation more colorful.

Step 2: Bend and Shape

• Bend or twist the wax craft sticks into the shapes you need.
• Curve them to make outlines, loops, letters, or other details.
• Gently reshape the sticks until they look the way you want.

Step 3: Stick the Pieces Together

• Press two wax craft sticks together wherever you want them to connect.
• Use gentle pressure so the wax surfaces stick to each other.
• Add more pieces to build up your design.

Step 4: Cut the Sticks if Needed

• Cut a wax craft stick into a shorter piece when your design needs a smaller section.
• Use the smaller pieces for details, decorations, or connecting parts.

Step 5: Make Coils and Spirals

• Roll a wax craft stick around itself to create a coil or spiral.
• Use coils to make rounded shapes, decorations, or parts of animals and other designs.
• Press the finished coil gently so it holds its shape.

Step 6: Make a Flat 2D Design

• Place the wax craft sticks onto a smooth surface such as paper, a window, or a table.
• Press them gently onto the surface to hold them in place.
• Arrange the sticks to create pictures, letters, words, or patterns.
• Try making designs such as:
  • Letters
  • Snails
  • Fish
  • Butterflies

Step 7: Make a 3D Creation

• Press wax craft sticks together to build up your design.
• Shape and connect pieces to create different parts.
• Continue adding sticks until your creation can hold its 3D shape.
• Try making designs such as:
  • Cactus
  • Glasses
  • Rings
  • Cars

Step 8: Reshape and Reuse

• When you are finished with a creation, gently pull the wax craft sticks apart.
• Straighten or reshape them with your fingers.
• Reuse the sticks to make something completely new.
• Keep experimenting with different shapes, colors, and designs.
