SunGemmers Suncatching Craft Kit

Before You Begin

Set up your work area first. Lay down paper towels to catch any loose pieces.
Lay out everything in the kit so it's all within reach before you begin.
Work on a clean, flat table or floor space.
Adult supervision is recommended because the kit contains small parts.
Choose which suncatcher design you want to make first.
Keep the clear plastic design, matching color-coded guide, colored gemstones, and double-sided tape nearby.
The kit includes colored gemstones in 2 sizes and different colors, plus color-coded guides to help you place them.

Step 1: Choose Your Design

Pick the color-coded guide for the design you want to create.
Place the guide flat on your work surface.
Find the matching clear plastic suncatcher design.
Place the clear plastic design directly on top of the color guide.
Line them up so you can clearly see the colored pattern underneath.

Step 2: Keep the Layers in Place

Once the clear design and guide are lined up, keep them from moving while you work.
You can use clear tape or a clipboard to hold the top sheet in place.
If the sheets move while you are decorating, simply realign them and continue.

Step 3: Match the Gemstones

Look at the color and size shown on the guide.
Choose the matching gemstone.
Peel the gemstone from its backing.
Stick it onto the corresponding spot on the clear plastic design.
Make sure you match both the color and the gemstone size.
Continue adding gemstones one at a time until the whole pattern is complete.

Step 4: Finish Your Suncatcher

Check that all the gemstones from the pattern have been placed.
Press them gently to make sure they are securely attached.
Your suncatcher design is now complete.

Step 5: Add the Double-Sided Tape

Take the included double-sided tape.
Place one small piece of tape in each of the four corners of the finished suncatcher.
Press the tape firmly onto the plastic.
Peel away the backing from the exposed side of each tape piece.

Step 6: Display Your Suncatcher

Choose a clean window where you want to display your artwork.
Press the finished suncatcher directly onto the window using the double-sided tape.
Press each corner gently so it sticks securely.
Enjoy the colorful light shining through your finished SunGemmers design.

Step 7: Make the Second Design

Choose the second color-coded guide and matching clear plastic design.
Repeat the same steps to create your second suncatcher.
Try following the guide exactly or experiment with your own gemstone arrangement if you want a different look.
