- 1 Turquoise Cord (85 cm)
- 1 Purple Cord (85 cm)
- 2 Cord End Caps

- 2 Round Metal Buckles
- 1 Silicone Ring
- 1 Silicone Straw Cover
- 1 Straw
- 1 Dark Turquoise Metallic Marker
- 1 Purple Metallic Marker
- 1 Design Stencil Sheet
- Written and Video Instructions Included
Before you start:
- Set up your work area first. Lay down paper towels to catch drips and spills.
- Lay out everything in the kit so it's all within reach before you begin.
- Remove all parts and craft supplies from the packaging.
- Check that the tumbler, straw, silicone ring, straw cover, cords, buckles, cord end caps, tape, metallic markers, and stencil sheet are included.
- Read the written instructions or watch the video instructions before beginning.
- Place the tumbler on a clean, dry, stable work surface.
- Make sure the outside of the tumbler is clean and completely dry before decorating.
- Keep small parts organized until they are needed.
Steps:
Step 1: Get Your Tumbler Ready
- Lay all your materials on a clean, flat surface.
- Take the silicone straw cover and gently push it up through the bottom of the lid until it pops into place.
- Press the silicone straw cover firmly onto the straw opening until it fits snugly.
- Stretch the silicone ring around the outside edge of the lid so it sits evenly.
- Set the tumbler aside while you make the handle.
Step 2: Make the Braided Handle
A. Prepare the Cords
- Lay the turquoise and purple cords next to each other.
- Fold the cords in half to find the middle.
- Push the folded middle straight through the wide opening of one cord end cap.
- Pull the cords through until a small loop remains on the other side.
- Tape the folded ends together so the cords stay bundled and are easier to push through the end cap.
- Take the large clear piece of the cord end cap, which is the tube.
- Push the taped cords into the open, smooth side of the tube.
- Pull the cords through until about 1 to 2 cm, or about the width of your fingernail, sticks out.
- Place the cords between the two small plastic arms of the small clear piece.
- Push the small clear piece into the tube.
- Twist it closed tightly.
- You should now have four loose strands hanging down.
Tip: Push as much cord as possible inside before twisting. The more cord inside, the tighter it will hold.
B. Braid the Cords
- Spread the four strands apart so you can see them clearly.
- Cross the two middle strands over each other to make an X. The strand on the right should cross over the strand on the left.
- Take the outside strand on the left and move it over one strand into the middle.
- Take the outside strand on the right and move it under one strand into the middle.
- Cross the two middle strands again to make another X, this time with the right strand crossing over the left.
- Move the left outside strand over one strand into the middle.
- Move the right outside strand under one strand into the middle.
- Keep repeating this pattern until your braid reaches the length you want.
- Gently pull the braid tight as you work so it stays neat and sturdy.
C. Finish the Braid
- Hold all four strands together at the end.
- Tape the ends together.
- Push the taped end into the open, smooth side of the large clear tube from the second cord end cap.
- Pull the cords through until about 1 to 2 cm sticks out.
- Place the cords between the two plastic arms of the small clear piece.
- Push the small clear piece into the tube.
- Twist tightly to lock it closed.
D. Add the Metal Buckles
- Clip one round metal buckle onto each cord end cap.
Step 3: Attach the Handle
- Clip the metal buckles onto the side loops of the silicone ring on the lid.
- Gently tug the handle to make sure everything is secure.
- If the handle feels tricky to close, hold the round metal clip while you grip and twist it.
- Turn the clip slowly and gently.
- If it does not close easily, pull it slightly back and try again.
Step 4: Decorate Your Tumbler
- Choose a design from the stencil sheet.
- Peel the stencil sticker from the sheet.
- Place it on the tumbler and press it down firmly.
- Use the metallic markers to color inside the stencil design.
- Carefully peel away the stencil to reveal your design.
- Let the ink dry completely before touching or using the tumbler.
- Add more designs, patterns, doodles, or your name if you like.
- You can reuse the stencil stickers. Peel them off slowly and gently, then place them back on the stencil sheet for next time.
Step 5: Fill, Sip, and Enjoy
- Twist the lid on tightly to seal the tumbler.
- To drink with the straw: Slide the cover on top of the lid so the straw opening lines up. Insert the straw through the opening and sip.
- To drink without the straw: Slide the cover on top of the lid again to open the drink spout. Sip directly from the lid.
- When you are finished, slide the cover back to close the opening and help prevent spills.
- Carry your tumbler by the handle and take it with you wherever you go.
Care Tips
- Hand wash with mild soap and water.
- Do not scrub over the marker designs.
- Do not microwave.
- Avoid leaving colored drinks inside for long periods.
